Rune Stones, often referred to as Runes or Rune Keys are collectable items that appear in MediEvil and MediEvil: Resurrection.
Description and usage
It is said that they were made by the ancients, who captured the magical energy emanating from Gallowmere and trapped it within the stones. Runes are used to unlock doorways and gates that have a lock in the style of a begging hand. These hands will only accept Rune Stones of the same colour as themselves.

Chaos Rune

Star Rune
- MediEvil: Dan's Crypt, Return to the Graveyard, The Gallows Gauntlet

Earth Rune
